Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Sunday alleged that although the MCD byelection on 30 November is only for 12 wards but frustration is visible among the AAP leaders.

Responding to AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj’s statement amid the ongoing campaign for the upcoming MCD byelections, he said that fearing a major defeat in the upcoming bypolls, the AAP leader is narrating stories about houses being demolished in some colony, alleging that he is trying to confuse the public. He added that people are no longer interested in listening to such embellished tales.

The BJP leader claimed that out of the 12 wards going to bypolls, the AAP had earlier won only 3 seats in 2022, which include Deoli, Chandni Chowk, and Chandni Mahal. But this time, they are not going to win any of these seats, Kapoor added.

Earlier, on Saturday, the BJP leader, who was in Chandni Mahal ward, claimed that in the byelection to be held for the area of Old Delhi, his party’s victory is certain because its candidate enjoys genuine local support coming from people belonging to all the communities, while the opposition was facing internal issues, despite their candidates being local residents.
